
Wet Dry Wet Box
If you run a wet-dry-wet setup, this isn’t optional — it’s essential.
Every line is equipped with polarity flip and ground lift, giving you full control over mono, stereo, dual mono, 4CM, 5CM, Wet-Dry, and complex wet-dry-wet routing — all without rewiring your board
Currently the wait time for this junction is an estimated 6-8 weeks before it is ready to ship.
NOTE - If you opt to get XLR outputs, your junction will be built in a box measuring 5.72" x 4.77" x 2.22" (145mm x 121mm x 56mm) instead of the pictured box (115mm x 90mm x 51mm)
How does it work?
By separating your pedalboard into a dry section (overdrives, distortion, compressor etc) and a modulation / wet section (chorus, delay, reverb etc) we can use this WDW Junction to route your signal in a number of exciting - Yes, exciting - ways.
This junction has a dedicated Dry, Left (wet) and Right (wet) output. Since you can use 1, 2 or 3 of these outputs independently or simultaneously it means you can choose to route your board in any number of ways. Furthermore you can mute your dry output (for instant access to ambient sounds) and use a master mute to kill all signal leaving your pedalboard - and tune silently with the always on tuner out jack.
The Master Mute is great for tuning silently or changing guitars quickly and quietly.
The WDW Box comes standard with ultra low noise audio transformers that give you access to ground lift and phase correction for 2 and 3 amp rigs!
NOW with an FX SEND jack for added flexibility! You can insert your amps FX loop with 4 and 5 cable method!
Optional Add-On
Choose to add LongLine (XLR) balanced outputs to all 3 outputs. This means you can run straight to the sound desk, bypassing any on stage DI's. This option allows you to use your XLR outputs as an active DI (-20dB pad activated) or as a line driver!
You can use the XLR outputs as a line driver with RCV (a passive product we offer) to send signal up to 300' to your guitar amp. RCV then converts the balanced signal to unbalanced 1/4" and into your amp input.
LongLine XLR outputs come standard with ground lift phase toggles, -20dB pad and mirrored unbalanced 1/4" outputs.
Ground Lift & Phase: The WDW Box now comes standard with 2x isolation transformers to correct against ground loops and phase issues in a 2 or 3 amp setup!
If this is something you find confusing a good way to look at this is if you want to use 2 amps at a gig, you can make use of 1 transformer. If you're using 3 amps, you will need to have the option of 2 transformers. You need one less transformer than the amount of amps you want to use while playing.
Since WDW comes standard with 2 audio transformers, you can still easily run a 2 amp rig even though you have 2 transformers. Just make sure the 'L.Out' is one of your chosen amps in this scenario.
Amp Simulators: if you're not using the optional LongLine (XLR) outputs that come with the WDW box, your DI may have ground lift built in, but most DI's do not have phase correction. Depending on how you're rig is set up, phase correction could be a very handy addition to your rig. It's there if you need it!

Inputs
'Input' Jack:
Plug your guitar into this buffered input. Simple.
From the input, signal is then sent to two places: a. 'Tuner' - Use this jack for an always on tuner output. Your tuner will always be tuning weather your signal is live or muted. b. 'Board' - This jack is typically used to send signal to your first pedal. Usually a fuzz, compressor and/or overdrive.
'Dry.In':
After your last dry effect (maybe your last overdrive, volume pedal, distortion) plug into this jack. Signal is then going to be sent to two places: a. 'D.Out' - Plug your dry amp into this jack. If you don't want a dry amp for a gig / session, simply don't plug anything in! b. 'To.Wet' - Plug your first modulation/wet effect in here. After this first wet effect you can then use it's outputs (or a later pedal in your wet chain) to split your signal to stereo.
'FX.Snd':
This is a recent addition to the WDW box. When this jack is used you can insert your dry amps FX Loop between the 'Dry In' and the 'To Wet' jack. You can also now use the Dry.Out and FX.Send as a built in audition point if you don't need your amps fx loop. When this jack is not being used, signal from 'D.In' will send to 'To.Wet' and 'D.out'. When this jack is being used, whatever is feeding 'FX.Snd' will pass on to the 'To.Wet' jack (your modulation and wet effects).
'To.Wet':
If you're using the 'FX.Snd' jack, whatever is feeding that jack will now come out of the 'To.Wet' jack. If you are not using the 'FX.Snd' jack, then whatever is coming into the 'Dry.In' will feed this jack. This jack typically sends to your modulation, delay and reverb effects.
'L.In' and 'R.In':
These are your buffered Left and Right inputs. From your last wet effect in either mono (use the 'L.In' jack) or stereo (use both L/R inputs) you can now complete the patching of this box. From the Left and Right inputs, signal sends straight through to the other side of the box! L.IN will send to the left 1/4" out (and XLR out if included) and the R.IN will send to the right 1/4" out (and XLR if included).

Summing
By default, your WDW Junction will ship in Stereo Sum mode. When summed (pushbutton IN) the Left and Right inputs will be summed/merged and then sent to both outputs.
If you want to access Split Sum (the right input is muted and the left input is sent to both the Right and Left Output jacks), open up your WDW Junction and flip the DIP switches according to the directions on the PCB. This PCB is attached to the Left and Right Input jacks.
Stereo Sum (default) is generally best for summing stereo delays and reverbs
Split Sum (selectable) is generally best for summing stereo modulation effects.
NOTE: Regardless of the mode you choose, stereo (pushbutton OUT) operates the same. The left input connects directly to left out and right in to right out.
1/4" Outputs
There are three buffered outputs on the WDW Junction:
a. 'L.Out' - This is directly connected to the 'L.In' jack when in stereo. Connect this jack to your left amp.
b. 'R.Out' - Similar to the Left Out, the 'R.In' jack connects directly to the 'R.Out' jack. Connect this to your right amp.
c. 'D.Out' - This output will only receive signal from the first half of your pedalboard (dry effects only). Connect this jack to your dry amp.
You have the option to add a transformer to your right and/or dry output. This will add ground lift and phase (isolation) to these outputs.
You can also add LongLine (balanced XLR outputs) to the outputs as well.
LongLine (XLR) Outputs Optional
Use these XLR outputs as a line driver OR as an active DI (-20dB pad activated).
This is a great option if you plan on using an Amp/Cab sim and want to send balanced (XLR) outputs to FOH.
Alternatively, you can ALSO use LongLine outputs as a line driver in conjunction with RCV to send signal to your amps up to 300 feet away in an isolation booth. Crank that amp as loud as it goes without getting any noise complaints. What a dream!
LongLine (XLR) outputs come standard with ground lift, phase correction and a selectable -20dB pad!
Isolation - Ground Lift and Phase
If you run more than one output at the same time you have the possibility of running into ground loops (a loud hum in your amps/lines) and phase issues (when frequencies between amps fight each other (not literally - that would be crazy) and cancel each other out). Two amps that are out of phase typically sound honky - like a Goose has gotten into your rig - and the low frequencies will be diminished / erased.
Although FOH (the sound engineer) can fix phase issues at the sound desk for direct lines, depending on your stereo effects and how your rig is set up, cancellation can still occur. This is also the case with mic'd amps. Correcting as close to the source as possible is always preferred.
If you plan on running more than one amp at a time for gigging purposes, make sure you're comfortable with your phase correction toggles on the WDW box! They are there for good reason.
If you select LongLine outputs, ground lift, phase and the -20dB pad are included in the price by default.
Footswitches
There are two footswitches on the WDW Junction: a. Master Mute - Use this switch to mute all signal leaving your pedalboard. This is a great option for tuning, setting up, re-patching or to quietly putting your guitar down to tell the drummer he's drowning out your solo. b. Dry Mute - Use this switch to mute your dry output only. This is a great option if you want to hear wet effects only for things like ambience or overly saturated guitar parts.
NOTE: If nothing is plugged into the dry output the dry mute switch will not do anything. If you are using the 'Dry.Out' and 'FX.Snd' jack, then the Dry.Mute will act as a master mute!
